About The Author

My name is Frank Will and this is my website, Alabama Backroads.

I was born in Pocatello, Idaho, so I am not originally from Alabama.

During my 45 plus year career I worked in retail at various positions including Store Manager, District Manager, Regional Vice President, and Regional Director of Merchandising.

Me and Maria, my wife of 46 years as of this writing, first moved to Alabama in 2002 when I was a Regional Director of Merchandising for a Regional Grocery Store Chain.

We lived here for several years and absolutely feel in love with the area.

We loved the sites and the rich history this historic and beautiful state is all about.

However, what really stands out about the State of Alabama is the people.

The people here are down to earth-real people, that will treat you and your family the same way they would like to be treated.

They are honest, hard-working, and will help you in any way they can.

We have lived in 7 states and I have worked in or done projects in another 39 states, so we have seen a lot of the country.

When the time come for me and Maria to retire, we could have retired almost any place we wanted, but we made the decision to come back to Alabama.

We have lived here now for several years and absolutely love everything about this beautiful state.

If you have never visited Alabama, you will be shocked at its natural beauty and the very warm and nice people that live here.
